Golf at Jacks Point
Today we tee off at Jacks Point Golf Course. The course is bounded by the Remarkables
mountain range and Lake Wakatipu. It traverses through wetland to the lake edge
encountering steep bluffs, indigenous vegetation and wildlife. It is designed to work
with nature, not against it. Fairways are designed with minimal excavation and careful
plantings to complement the natural environment, but also to give the golfer a fighting chance.

Terrace Downs
A mid morning flight transfers us to Christchurch where we transfer to Terrace Downs High Country Resort where
we are based for two nights. After a quick lunch we tee off in the early
afternoon. The golf course is designed to thrill golfers of all competency
levels. It is set at an altitude of 450m against a backdrop of snow-dusted
Alps and golden tussocked foothills that are a hunting, jet boating, hiking,
4wding, horse riding, skiing and fishing playground. It is not difficult to
imagine the Lord of the Rings cities that were built into this landscape.
