Bridget Hackshaw was born in New Zealand and lives in Auckland with her family. She and her husband Michael lived in England for ten years where they worked, completed postgraduate studies and travelled extensively in Europe, the UK and the United States.

Bridget has explored the length and breadth of New Zealand as a child, a free roaming adult and with her own children. She is proud of its arts, cuisine, scenery, wild places and hospitable, enterprising people. She is passionate about New Zealand as a holiday destination and now works to make it accessible to others.
